Russia as an investment location (for projects in the fields of infrastructure and property development, for instance) is just as interesting to foreign and in particular German investors as the Russian consumer market is to German trade and industry.
Vice versa the German sales market is a magnet for businesses from Russia, particularly those trading in Russian commodities. Triggered by their country’s vigorous economic growth, Russian enterprises are now also increasingly investing abroad, and Germany is regarded as a particularly favourable business location.
